I was thrilled when I was selected as the featured artist for the annual Cherry Blossom show. My Imiola Congregational Church pen and wash is on the front cover for their pamphlet, and is also on their poster. The posters will be on sale at the Firehouse Gallery on February 1st and I will be on site to sign them. The original painting will be on sale at the Gallery starting February 1st.

Urban Sketching
I love keeping a journal while I travel. When I look back through my journals, the sketches conjure wonderful memories, much more than a snapped photo. The challenge is to be able to generate a sketch in 5 to 10 minutes. As such, I find journaling a great exercise in finding the essence of a scene, learning to simplify, and not getting drowned in the details.
Here’s a couple of sketches from my last vacation. The first is from Edinburgh, Scotland, and the second from Yaffra, Israel.
